If you get a chance to see Imperial State Electric, don't miss it. I'm kind of Meh, on the studio stuff. But live they fucking kill it. With Four Hole Marshalls.
Best show this year for me.

Not sure if they're coming to Texas but if they are I will see them! You ever listen to NIck's metal band... Ugh... What was it called... Death Breath I think?
Alright lets bring it down with some dynamics:

Yeah, wasn't a fan. I just don't really even listen to metal anymore.
I prefer skanky, slutty ass shakin' Rock&Roll.

I love this song. One of the easiest and best riffs I've ever heard.

The break in the middle of Better Than You is so killer.
Sometimes, I play it relentlessly. Daydreaming I am in a guitar duel with Nick Royale.

I miss them terribly.
When they broke up, a important piece of Rock&Roll went with them.
I hope they make a comeback. But I kind of doubt it.

Nick's original metal band happened to be one of the most influential bands in death metal. Entombed..
I agree Death Breath sucked.. lol

Re: The Hellacopters
Aside from the Entombed connection I've never heard a whole lot about this band much less listened to them. Did they ever get any mainstream acceptance/airplay/success? That Toys and Flavors song (for example) is so much better than most of what's out there.

Not so much in the States. They had/have a core following the spans all kinds of styles and crowds. It's hard not to love a band that rocks out so fucking hard, writes great tunes and plays all killer vintage equipment.
Nick, the lefty singer, is a songwriting force.
Go crawl down the Youtube Rabbit hole. If you love really good, ass shaking R&R, you'll get sucked right in.

In spades.
I'm so glad people here love Rock&Roll. It was tough posting a thread like this on HCAF. The board was so busy and moved so fast, it was on page three in fourteen seconds. That, along with the massive quantity of metalheads, made it hard to meet any like minded rockers.
Here, things are a bit more even. Or at least it's easier to connect.

I never joined HC - lurked around there a little just when I had gear ideas. Most of the time found something that would help me and moved on. If I had known some of the "asshatery" that went on there I would have joined a long time ago. For lulz at least.
Don't get me wrong I'm still a metal head... But I dig ball busting rock and the Hellacopers are that... Liked that band a lot.
