That was actually a fun list. I don't know or care if I agree with it, but it had tons of cool clips and bits of trivia, and seemed to feature virtually 100% people who actually play the guitar.

The stories are cool, though acting like Eddie isn't a complete dick who's almost impossible to work with is kinda funny.

Also...how did Synester & Zacky end up there? I was thinking "Ok, I can understand most of these so far" then they pop up.

Its an interesting group. :)

OK, a few factual/intellectual issues. One, Ritchie Blackmore did not found Deep Purple, and wasn't even on their first two or three albums. Two, blabbing about how dangerous and chaotic Lou Reed was is fine, but then they show a video of him playing live with ultra-professional guitar-for-hire duo Dick Wagner and Steve Hunter.

They should blab more about how most of Lou Reed's output has sucked balls since...well, forever.

Poor Hamster. Hetfield gets credit for prolly their biggest song, "enter sandman", even though I'm pretty sure the main riff is Hammett's

Yeah, he was definitely on the first batch of albums. Mandrake Root on Shades of Deep Purple (their first album) has some of my favorite Blackmore moments.

You see, there were 2 or 3 "secret" Deep Purple albums that came out before the first official Deep Purple album. Dick Wagner and Steve Hunter played on those. Then Ritchie Blackmore came on board for a few forgettable albums, ultimately being replaced by David Coverdale.

Yeah, uh, what? I have no idea what the fuck I was thinking last night. A little tipsy.

EDIT: In trying to retrace my thoughts and posts last night, I think I was remembering that Gillan wasn't in the band right away, and got my wires crossed.

yep, he did the riff and then Larrzzzzz added the little tail at the end. i think Hamster played the riff 4 times through originally.
