A brand I've seen a lot, they appear to be affordable. I have known older friends that have liked them in the past, but what exactly are the models to keep an eye out for and which ones should be avoided?

Talking any of the electric/ acoustic/ or bass.

Aria is a bit like Ibanez in the sense that they have guitars at all level under the same brand/logo.

So some of their stuff is really good while others are decent entry level.

The PE series guitars from the 80 are truly excellent, underrated LP style guitars.

Magna and Warrior series superstrats are killer too.

ZZ Explorers are also great.

They have a bunch of great semi-hollow guitars but I don't know much about them. And some of their basses are great too. Cliff Burton played one.

But then you also have a bunch of beginner stuff in their lines. I think anything that starts with an "R" (RS, RX etc) are beginner quality.

The good stuff is great though. I'd LOVE to have a PE-R80 but they're expensive these days. It's a phenomenal guitar though.

My only Aria experience...
I remember checking out an Aria SG back in the late 70's at a shopping mall music store.
They were considered to be low priced beginner guitars, but that Aria SG had a spectacular neck and I was very impressed!

A buddy of mine had one of their LP Custom copies. Great neck on that guitar. Stock pickups were yanked a long time ago and he put EMGs in it. Great guitar overall.

Thanks all!

I've got my eye on a couple of semi hollow's.
