Hi,
I just wanted to share what I use to clean Tolex. I am by no means an expert, but this works really for me. But your milage may vary and use at your own risk.

Just make sure to let the shampoo gel dwell on the Tolex so it can do its work, but don't let it dry. If you want to give it some protectant and make the Tolex pop a little visually you can put on the Interior Guard Plus.

The products are safe on plastic, vinyl, leather, fabric, carpet and some other surfaces. Just keep it off of the control panel faces and where there is pained markings. I have not had any issues, but you never know. It can leave streaks on a matte control panel surface. That you will have to go back and clean off.

As with any product try it first in a small inconspicuous area to check for any adverse effects and use with caution.

Hopefully this will help someone out in some way.

What I use:
Sonex textile and leather brush
Long Handled detailing brush
Rag company 420gsm microfiber towel. The towel has a long nap and short nap side. I only use the long nap side for Tolex.
Q-tips
Tooth pics
Old credit card with a paper towel or towel wrapped around it
Paper towels
Ultima Interior Shampoo gel
Ultima Interior Guard Plus

Nice!!! That's a nice kit. I just use Windex

I heard the Armor All stuff is good too but never tried it.

I usually don't care much about the tolex but maybe I should start caring more about it, especially on my handwired JMP. That's a really nice amp that I should try to keep in good condition.

Its all stuff I use detailing automobiles that I found worked will on Tolex. The microfiber towel happens to really get down into the tolex crevasses really well.

303 Aerospace protectant is what i use on my cars for outside plastic and rubber trim and covers practically the entire interior except carpet and glass. could be used on leather, but i use 303 Leather. has UV protection, and great on rubber, vinyl, and plastic. repels dust and is non-greasy.

excellent for tolex and speaker surrounds. for general cleaning i'll just use what ever detail spray i have, usually Meguiar's.

303 is good stuff.
Meguires makes good stuff. If you use, there exterior quick detailer you can skip protectant. It has some in it. The quick interior detailer is good too, but a bit smelly.
