Limited run! Don't wait too long

Seriously, the bass cut knob is huge. That's going to make this a do all OD.

You do know the ODR-1 has a bass cut switch by the battery compartment right?

The knob is more versatile for sure but the switch works well too.

Yes I do. I suspect the bass knob was a consistent request from customers.

Hmmmm, interesting! Maybe I'll have to pick one of these up to add to my collection.

Would this be more like a TS9 or an SD1?

It would look good next to my 50th Anniversary SD-1

From my understanding it’s not like either. It’s more neutral. No mid hump.

Even better. Always good to have another flavor available.

THIS!

Think of it like a "more" pedal. If you are playing through a Fender amp set fairly clean, the pedal makes it a more cranked bassman tone. If you are playing through a high gain with a thick tone like a rectifier and using it as a boost, it makes it more liquid and sustaining. I think it has more in common with a Klon or a Bluesdriver than it does a Tubescreamer or sd-1.

I purchased one about a year ago after trying a ton of overdrives out for my MT15. I tried 3 klon style pedals, a Wampler, a few JHS drives, a prince of tone, an OCD, a BD-2, and more than a few TS-style pedals. I was down between the Waza BD-2 and an MXR Sugar Drive when the clerk recommended the ODR-1. I always assumed it was just another TS pedal because it was green and that it was only for country based on its reputation with the chicken pickers in my area. I was wrong. It is a special overdrive pedal and probably will be hanging around for a long time to come.

The bass knob could be a potentially helpful knob to dial in ideal low end response to sound its best with the amp/rig playing through. I'm guessing its essentially a variable high pass (low cut) filter.

Way to be decisive and not crack under pressure. You handled the adversity and this will certainly reflect well on your next forum performance report.

I saw an older one on the Nashville Craigslist yesterday for $600. It was gone in a couple of hours.

I guess I’ll have to pull my 90’s ODR-1 out of my pedal bin and see what all the fuss is about.

I bought this around ‘02 or so and and it has pretty much lived in its box. I never installed it on any of my boards.

One cool thing on the nobels pedals is the remote input where in some cases can come in handy. For example, you had a one channel amp if only was going to use one pedal (like a drive pedal) with it could have it sitting on amp and use remote to have a footswitch for turning the pedal on and off.

I actually did this a while ago using a nobels pre-1 with with jet city combo. Had it in the effects loop set up as a clean solo boost. Sat it on top of amp. I think i even just used battery power (rechargable 9 v). Then had footswitch from the nobels pedal remote jack turn that solo boost on and off and used the amp's footswitch for channel switching.
