Just bought a Mesa DC-5 head from Guitar Center used. $600!!!!!

Yes, the DC series was right before the F series. I love the F series. I recently sold my F-100 since I was putting money down on the new house. I would buy another in a heartbeat. But this DC-5 at $599 was too hard to pass. Then again, it's from GC so there is an 80% chance that the amp gets here beat to shit and not working

Both are like that. The main difference between the two is the DC has a GEQ while the F has a Contour switch that is the most common "V" GEQ setting as a preset.

The DC also has an additional global master volume while the F uses the channel volumes as the master.

But overall the 2 amps are voiced similarly, just with different features.

It is. Although I prefer the .50 Caliber tbh. The DC sounds a bit more polished. But I couldn't find a deal on a .50C so the DC-5 will do. They're not that different but the .50C does have a slight edge.

I was thiiiiiiiissssss close to buying this last week…

I got it yesterday and typical from GC used, it was defective. The GEQ was not working. So I took it back to GC this morning. It's a shame because that was a good deal for a cool amp.

Yeah it's alright. I'll keep an eye out for another one but it's no big deal. I'm more into my Marshalls anyway.
