HELP putting JEM7VP-WH parts in JEMJR

Post by ncarpios »

As title mentions, I am looking at ibanezrules dot com and other ibanez dealers. I found the original pickguard, truss rod cover, backplate and jack cover from the JEM7VP-WH. I want to know 1. which ones fit perfectly or 2. what changes should I made to the ones that doesn’t or 3. ITS OVER FOR ME because they don’t fit at all ;( OR 4. you know cheaper options :) (idk if i should trust that amazon similar products will look equally as good!).

If the parts are cheap enough, why not buy them and see if they'll work? I'm surprised you weren't looking at replacing the bridge too since it's not an Edge Pro or lo-pro.

It should fit but it's possible that the Japanese JEM parts are a slightly different size.

But I know for sure that the JEM Jr pickguard is the same size as the Indonesian Ibanez RGs because they're essentially the same guitar.

So my suggestion would be to look for parts for say, a RG350. You just have to get them in white pearl color to give you the JEM WH look. If you check AllParts or even eBay you will find sellers that have RG pickguards in every color possible.

That would be a better way to go, both in term of fit and cost.
