I like it a lot!!!!! Looks great. Back in the day one of my friends had a Washburn that had 27 frets and another with 36 frets (!!). I don't think I ever saw him actually playing the upper frets but that was totally not the point. The point was "I GOTS MORE FREATS THAN U"
So yeah, this is most definitely 80's approved

It looks cool but it looks more modern than 80s to me?

Looks like one of those elf shoe headstock guitars that everybody on HCAF played. Caparison!
The white with the floyd is hot. Very '89ish.
Would have preferred Road Flare Red or Desert Yellow.

Pretty cool! The body reminds me of a cross between a Caparison and an exaggerated Suhr Modern.

Bobby Koelble used a 29 fret Washburn on symbolic. Some wild solos on that record.

And damn Joey Dahila!!!! that guy was legendary lol
Let's time I talked to him on FB he was back at bodybuilding. Which is good, he looked healthy. He's a total basket case but harmless.

Yeah the Floyd+HS pickups+27 fret shredder is the 80s part.
The guitar is definitely a more modern looking shape.

It reminds me of the Ibanez 540p a bit. Just with a reverse body shape.

I always forget that Hamer made some legit sex super Strats. And this is one of them.

Yeah man this guitar is killer. I need another Hamer USA in my life someday. The Californians are very expensive these days but there are still deals to be found on Chaparrals and Diablos.

I had a Hamer USA Centaura. I never connected with it. It had a marbley finish with HSS pups. Schaller Floyd. Dot inlays.
I don't miss it. I wish it would have been badass.
I've wanted a USA Californian for 30 years.

I remember those Ibanez guitars. I think Alex Skolnick used those in the early days of Testament. I'm almost positive there was an episode of Headbangers Ball where he and Eric Peterson were sitting on a couch talking to Adam Curry. Alex just sat there noodling on it during the interview.
**Edit: it was Chuck Billy not Eric Peterson. Here is the video
