Thinking of selling all of my Chase Bliss pedals

I'm really getting sick of pedals with non-intuitive parameters. I never know what's going to come out. 75% of the time, it's not what I want.

The Habit is the worst. The Mood is getting close to pissing me off. The generation loss has too many flaws. I really wish I didn't have the reverse delay on the way. The ramping shit is all useless to me. The switches are too close together.

I'm really starting to appreciate pedals where I actually know what the knobs are going to do when I turn them.

I used to be pretty open-minded on effects. I scoffed at people who were like, "ughh, I don't like bleep bloop pedals." I get it now. I feel like I can't express myself musically if my shit gets mangled into a Chinese restaurant foyer muzak album.

Too many knobs and features always distract and frustrate me. I prefer simple. I know guitarists are known for this, but, hey, I wanna play music. I'll take on complication in music and harmony, but not in gear. Embarrassing to say but I even struggle with my Katana.

I had a love hate with my Tonal Recall

Sometimes it was glorious but other times it irritated me. I never did figure out the dip switches and don’t really miss it.

The name of their company annoys me for some reason; it just sounds extra pretentious

I hear you! So many pedals and so little time. It's like the craft beer IPA craze. I will drink them all but at some point where does it end. Just give me an Ice Cold PBR and I am happy.

Anything described as having multiple limited run "colorways" can get fucked. So sick of that shit and the goofy nerd market surrounding that term.

What I gather from context clues is it's just a "fancy" way of saying colors or designs

IMO, the Phase 90 is the pinnacle of functional pedal design.

If it doesn't sound good, you turn the knob until it sounds good.

If it still doesn't sound good, you turn it off.

Hipster's way of clamoring over different colors of dumb trinkets that were manufactured in small runs to artificially inflate hype.

I guess it drives shallow people obsessed with collecting posessions to spend more than just saying "we made this garbage in 10 colors".

I have difficulty liking pedals that are not intuitive.

I don't mind using complex units, but they have to make sense. If I need to change the effects mix, for example, I want a parameter that says mix. There's no need to get creative with shit like that.

I was too until I bought it and realized they're senseless and unnecessary. Trust when I say there are much better delays out there.

My only regret was offing it before they shot up in value for a short time. They're back down to normal now.

Chase is one of those in style "country club" names around here that are right there with Mason and Hunter in popularity

Yeah that's ridiculous. If you have that many parameters put a screen in the pedal.

I feel like the too many controls is part of the gimmick.

I'll give the guy credit, the 3-3-3 layout makes his stuff easily identifiable, and over on TGP his stuff seems like its some sort of status symbol.
