I had an ENGL SE EL34 back around the 2006 to 2007. The first one I received was DOA. The only channel that worked was the Tube Driver (the 5th channel that Ola speaks of). I was asked to take it to a tech before returning it. I found a tech that would take a look at it. He looked at the amp and said there was no way he would be able to fix it. I got a replacement and everything was finally good.
The amp sounded great! Lots of features (not all of them are super practical like Mega Lo Punch). I held onto it for about a year and decided to sell it for something else. Again, it sounded fantastic but I always had the lingering issue with repair if something ever went wrong. It was really difficult at the time to find an authorized ENGL tech to work on it. I wasn't about to send it to Germany. I'm sure it is a little easier these days but that was my main concern was repair.
I saw this video the other day. Ola has it sounding great!

yeah back in the day that was a concern. They're distributed by ESP USA now and they have a long list of service centers.
