Charvel MJ made in Japan DK24
Wenge Neck
Ebony Board
Walnut top
Mahogany body

Pros:
Wenge neck feels great
MIJ Quality is near perfect
SD bridge pickup is badass

Cons:
Heavy
SD neck pickup is not so good
25.5 scale sometimes gets tiring

It looks amazing! I hadn't seen this model before.
Does it really have a Super Distortion in the neck? That's an odd choice. I'd put a PAF Pro in there. You can custom order it with the chrome bobbins so the guitar still looks stock.

Damn that is super classy. Not usually my type of thing but I’d play that for sure.

Bridge Pickup Seymour Duncan® Full Shred™ TB-10
Neck Pickup Custom Seymour Duncan® Alnico II Pro™ APH-1N

From the Charvel site.

i don't feel they match up tonally, like a see saw, ones extremely bright and punchy, the other one is dull and dark.

Oh I thought you meant Super Distortion when you said SD lol

The Alnico II is not a bad pickup but yes it's dark. A 59 would probably be a better match.

Those look like Dimarzios to me. I don't recall ever seeing Seymour Duncans with chrome fillister pole pieces. I know the Full Shred has fillister pole pieces, but they're black, not chrome. I don't that's even an option on the Alnico II Pro. Also, they don't have the Seymour Duncan logo on them. Outside of the 59, Seth Lover, Slash, and Custom Shop humbuckers, all Seymour Duncan uncovered pickups have a logo. I don't think their website is correct.

From the Charvel site

Kinda look the same to me?

I looked the specs up and they're indeed Seymour Duncan pickups. The logo is there, it's just black on black. I guess they made these pickups as a custom order for Charvel.

This is why Billy rules. I would have never seen that. lol.

And I always wanted one of those Music Zoo natural series, but they are rare birds. This one was a killer deal in excellent condition. Fed Ex lost it for three days, but the seller was really cool with helping them get it delivered.

Thanks guys!

Just a real quick question, I used GHS 10-48 on it and will go from E to Eb, i'm ok adjusting the truss rod, but it has three springs, do I need to add more? the action is a little high, I can modify, but I want to keep that spongy, slinky feel. Thanks.

3 springs should be ok. Just tighten them a bit. 4 will change the tension and feel more.

Just tighten the spring claw more

I don't think I've had to use 4 springs for anything ever tbh

I assume it came with 9-42 in E? Going to 10-48 in Eb is a minimal change, you're going up in gauge but down in pitch so it's pretty much a wash. You may not even have to adjust the tremolo for it.

If you need to adjust, just adjust the claw, no need to add more springs.

Sweet guitars, but too much coin for me lol. And i've never tried a full shred. How do you like it?

The Full Shred is pretty gnarly, this is my hair metal guitar so into a Marshall-esqe amp sounds fantastic.

I had too much bow in the neck so I adjusted the truss rod and the claw, kept it to just three springs and the trem is sitting parallel to the strings now.
