NAD - Nice score on a 4x12

Found locally for $600, going to sell my 2x12 to the other guitarist in my band for $500 so really only $100 out of pocket for this big guy.
Realized I want to go back to 4x12s full time again. In Chicago I had a sedan and a condo, in Austin I've got an SUV and a house with room. Also I lift things competitively for fun so the weight isn't really a factor.
Also this cab sounds awesome, heres a picture of it in my garage.

Yeah man the guy just kept dropping it by $100 after starting at $800.
V30, considering mixing with ET65s but not sure yet.

I used that mix in an old VTM/Butcher era Peavey cab. I tried x-pattern at first but settled with ET65's top & V30's bottom. It sounds great that way.

I don't like mixing speakers on a cab that's going to be used live because most of the time only one speaker gets micd.
For a recording or home cab it's great though.

Same for that exact same reason.
I have just really liked the sound of my Egnater when using both my cabs. (V30 in Randall, ET65s in Bogner)
That said it really depends on what the other guitarist settles on.

The V30s are great for live mixes especially with a 2 guitar band. It cuts right through the mix.
They're not the best speakers when you're playing by yourself but the exact same things that make them annoying alone are perfect in a mix.

Oh for sure, that’s why I’ve always used them.
Part of why I’m unsure at the moment is they don’t go with the 5153 very well and that may be the amp I end up using with this band.
It’s all very up in the air until the other guitarist sorts out his rig.

Have used V30's and ET65'S in a 4X12 before. It works.
I also agree with one of the statements above. I don't like V30's on their own in a room. The just work on tape and in a mix.

I'm running my 5153 50w 6L6 with v30s. It sounds fine live, I just need to keep the mids low on the amp.

I have the Stealth for what it’s worth.
I’d have to try it out in the band mix and see how it sounds. For now I’m using the Armageddon and just leaving the V30s and will wait until the other guitarists rig get settled.

4x12 til I die. Cab looks clean. And thanks for expressing not being a pussy about carrying a 4x12. Lol. I honestly belive no grown man should ever say out loud he doesn’t want to use a 4x12 “cause it’s too heavy whaaah”. It’s 100lbs. That’s not exactly heavy. It takes 15 seconds max to load and unload it and the rest of the time it’s on wheels .

Yeah man my primary hobby (behind music at this point) is competitive powerlifting so I realized how absurd complaining about the weight of a 4x12 relatively speaking.

Really having a vehicle that can easily handle it has been a huge factor. Getting a 4x12 in and out of the back seat of a sedan that it barely fit it was a headache.
