Same that thing is wild. If nothing else I definitely appreciate the guitar and the owner for its unique badassness

I love those. When I was in highschool I hated traditional Strat and Les Paul styles. I wanted the more metal Tele!

The HMT was something. I think that came from Fender’s partnership with Heartfield and was part of the HM line along with the HM Strat but came a little later.

Yes I believe that how it went, then by the time Fender came out with the HM tele and strat, glam metal was over and Nirvana was the next big thing. I saw the blue color in a magazine and wanted it, so we had the music store order it for me, so I have been the only person to own this guitar. Might be the only one to have played it since it left the factory too, since I think when we went to the music store, we took it out of the box there.
The neck on it is one of the thinnest necks I have ever played, it's very similar to in feel to an Ibanez.

The thin neck doesn’t surprise me. The neck of my HM Strat is wide and thin. Not doing any thumb over Hendrix stuff on it very easily. Definitely similar to an Ibanez.

Thanks, Dave! I actually am Gibsonless for now but will pick up another one next year so I can post in Gibson threads too!

Black adonized pickguard on the gilmour tribute? That looks hot. I’ve wanted to do a Black Strat tribute build for a while. I’d love to do a red Strat with EMG build too.

Yes sir. It's a tribute but with my personal preferences. Warmoth Flame maple neck, anodized pick guard, Gotoh 510 trem, Grover 18:1 locking tuners. I can whammy as much as I want and it never goes out of tune. I love the Gilmour EMG set with the expander circuit.

Yeah that circuit interests me. I’ve never played anything with that setup but I think I’d like it.

It really gives alot of tonal options. You can dial in more mids and more gain. The bridge pickup can sound almost like a P90 if you get both controls set right.
