Honestly, the way everything sounded in the mix.......your guitar was chunky, gritty, nice top end, and that fullness that had a spank.......I don't know......I thought your rhythm tone was awesome and felt the same with the solo.

How did it feel to you when you heard it back?

*edit edit* Your tone reminded me of an early Ratt and Kingdom Come feel. Both of which I admire :idk:

I'm not sure what I think. It sounds good overall but I may be hearing some things too.

That's why I want to get some external opinions...

Thanks!!! I am going to play not with it. I think the tone is good but it was a bit harder than usual to get it to sit in the mix. And also harder to mix the vocals with the rest of the track too. Which is similar to what I usually hear with modeling on live mixes.
So I'm not fully sold on it just yet.

I'll make another mix tomorrow with amps for comparison.

Listening on AirPods, it doesn't have the clarity that I think you would get out of a real amp do that same sort of riffing in A. It has a bit of a "digital smear" in the A, D and G strings when they are played together.

The sound during the solo sounds "better" I think because the signal isn't stepping on itself with the single notes the same as it does on a full chord.

I might be crazy, but I feel like I've heard the same thing since back in the days of the Pod XT. Like you've said before, I wish I DIDN'T hear that, but I do, and I can't unhear it. And I heard it when I briefly had an Axe FX too, so I'm not terribly eager to jump back into modelling after that.
