People go barefoot on grass to “ground” themselves electrically. It’s supposed to be good for one’s health.
I’ve heard of people attaching wires to pipes to do this indoors.
So, this got me thinking. Aren’t i grounding every time i play electric guitar through a properly grounded guitar into an amp that has a properly connected 3 prong plug? Maybe, that’s why i feel so refreshed after i play.

Seems legit to me. We’re discharging our energies into the ground albeit via a guitar.

thats why you gotta play at 432hz, it cancels any phase issues or whatever and perfectly aligns everything

I had a 432 phase. It sounded awesome.

Yeah I think you're right. That's why a guitar has a ground wire to the bridge so it stops humming when you touch the strings, you're the ground.

Me and my bass player tend to play on stage barefoot, and last week he stepped on a broken guitar string on stage and got zapped. Did that undo the ground?

It’s tricky though, if you have both feet on the ground it creates a ground loop and nobody wants that.
One shoe on and one shoe off for perfect tone.

You wanna be isolated from it and shoes help you dirty hippies. Theoretically if all your gear is grounded you should be safe from shock but its many factors determining that with a bit of unpredictability. Id guess we’ve all experienced shock touching a mic and gtr at the same time or amp chassis. Id wear shoes at least and if you’re gonna die, die with your boots on.

I am going to be singing that chorus in my head all day now. I can hear Bruce singing the outro chorus right now!

I think you missed the whole point.
I'm saying, you get all the hippy benefits of "shoes off" just by playing electric guitar (even with shoes on), assuming it's properly wired, and your amp has a 3 prong power cable properly plugged into the wall. Your body is contacting "ground" through your strings.
That's why I feel so good after I play guitar.

Yeah playing guitar is grounding both literally and metaphorically. Playing music has a uplifting/soothing effect on me. But that's even when I'm playing acoustic guitar or piano.. so it happens even outside of the grounding experience with the electric guitar. But it's interesting to think about the effects that being an actual electrical ground can have on you. I'd never thought of it that way but it makes sense.

I ground every morning at sunrise facing east while reciting my daily affirmations and playing this song.
