nah, 328is with M3 bumpers and wheels. I've had it since April. Been slowly working through some long over due brake maintenance.
Car drives great and these old BMW I6s sound so mean with a decent exhaust. Eventually I want to slap a super charger on it. For now I'm going to do some autocross.

Nice E36. Very pretty car. I was very close to buying one a few years back (an M3 in Dakar Yellow), but I couldn't live with the cramped footwell. I take a size 12 wide.

Dude nice!
I had an 03 325Xi I built up years ago, and this post hits... because I've been on the hunt lately for another autocross toy. My buddy races a Civic Si and a Focus ST. Haven't decided what I'm getting yet.

I thought you bought a Ranger and skipped the Maverick?

My wife had the Ranger for about a year.
We had ordered a Maverick because it was no obligation. When it came in Sara liked it enough and the 45mpg won her over. It's a really nice little ute for 24k. More comfortable than the Ranger and genuinely the MPG is bonkers. It's the hybrid.

I daily a mk7.5 GTI. It's a great autocross car and just a great car in general. Theyre not crazy expensive and very tunable. Software tune can put you in the 280HP range without any physical mods.
I have to throw in the obligatory 'miata is always the answer'. The NCs are still reasonably priced and can look pretty good with the right wheels and bumpers.

I wanted to hate the Maverick so bad, but I think I'm coming around on it. Sounds like y'all like it well enough?

It's really awesome. It does 90% of what the Ranger could and is way more comfortable a ride. I'm really impressed with it.
It's not a proper truck so there are limitations but as a practical daily that can easily fit a washer and dryer it's perfect.
Also it actually has all the HVAC controls as physical buttons. Huge step up from the Ranger in that regard. The ranger had a bunch of the controls hidden in a touchscreen menu.

I must live under a rock because I thought it was a Ranger in the picture
And worse yet, I didn't even know a new Ford Maverick existed and it's a truck!!!
But now that I looked it up, it seems like it's something I'd actually like. It's kind of what I wanted the new Ranger to be. Interesting.
I'm still having a bit of trouble wrapping my head around a Ford Maverick being a truck

When I think of a Ford Maverick this is what comes to mind:

That's one of many reasons I was irrationally angry about it for a while
but seeing them around they look better in person and I am starting to see the many practical applications for them. We're kinda looking at one for my step daughter next year when she turns 16.

Dude, it took me a while for that image to stop popping into my head. Its a great little truck though.
