Mosfet power amp question

Does anyone know if Mosfet power amps require a load like a tube amp, or if they are akin to a solid state amp and can be run without a load on the power section. I have a GK 2100 SEL (digital preamp, mosfet power section) and I am running the "send" signal from the effects loop to a tube power amp because my Marshall 9100 tube power amp sounds much better than the SEL's mosfet power section. At the moment, I have a dummy load on each of the speaker outputs (it's a stereo amp) just in case, but I figured someone here smarter than me would know if I need the dummy load or not. :idk:

You should not need a load for that.

If the master volume controls the power amp volume turn it down to zero just as an extra precaution.

But it should fine either way.
