1976 Deluxe Conversion

I did a quick set up and fixed the couple of things that needed fixed, added the locking Grovers and the guitar sounds and play great. Very similar neck profile to my '78. The pickups sound great. I was going to replace the bridge Duncan 59 with something a bit hotter but meh, it sounds good as it is. The T-Top in the neck is great too.

Sweet! It’s a’76 ? Does it have a maple neck ? Is it a pancake? Does it have a volute?

Had my first practice with it today. I ended up replacing the 59 in the bridge with an Antiquity JB. That was a great move, the Antiquity version of the JB is just awesome. It's warmer and a bit lower output than the regular JB, which is perfect for my needs.

Compared to the 78 LP, this guitar sounds darker and heavier overall, pretty much nails what most people think a Norlin Les Paul should sound like, that darker, solid tone associated with them.
The 78 is brighter and more open sounding. The 2 guitars have different pickups so it's not an apples to apples comparison, just my impressions of the sound of each guitar.

This guitar also has the pancake body, while the 78 is solid mahogany. The 78 has an ebony fretboard and this one has the regular rosewood board.

All in all they're very different guitars and yet they both sound like LPs if that makes sense. Just different shades of the same color.

What is the name of the finish... looks like a bourbon or tobacco burst... but not exactly?

It was called Antique Sunburst. It was mostly used on SGs, RDs and hollow/semi hollow guitars. Not many LPs were made with this finish.
