This isn’t a wishful thread - it’s coming 5/23, for $4.99/mo, or $49/yr. I am intrigued by this, but I have a few questions:

1. What will be missing from the iPad version?
2. How hot is this going to run?
3. How bad on battery life is it going to be?
4. Do I buy an iPad Pro now, or wait until 2024?

Not sure what your looking to do (record obviously) and you can get a MAC mini for a lot less than an iPad with a ton more horsepower and run things proper. That is unless your trying to go portable and then I still recommend a 13" Macbook.

Apple really shot themselves in the foot by finally giving people an iPad logic and making it subscription based. Any creative software that leaves you unable to open a file without paying the mothership is a fucking bane to the creator.

They lost me a while ago over other shit they've pulled (known to throttle older hardware during OS updates and some other shennanigans to force upgrades), but shit like this kinda spells out where they are. Richest company in the world and they need more money? Fuck 'em.

Buy any decent laptop for less than an iPad with enough horsepower to run Logic properly, and you can find any number of DAWs that are cheap or even free. I'm a big fan of Ardour, open source origin of Mixbus. Even runs good on Linux if you don't wanna worry about Microsoft tanking your system because you didn't connect often enough to the mothership, or worse, you did.

They also made Final Cut for the iPad too... subscription as well. LOL!!! I'd like to see someone edit a film on an iPad!!!
