Yeah man!!!! I haven't been this excited since Marshall reissued the 100 watt Jubilee in 2017!!!

You rarely see Sentura II amps (worth buying) on Reverb or eBay. My Solarus sounds the same as the Sentura II but it's only half as loud.
I'll be first in line for one!!!!

The pic of the Sentura II (on the Twitter feed) is the older version without a Mid Boost switch. You don't really need the Mid Boost switch but, it was cool to have.

Beginning on May 1, Sunn Amplifaction posted a single page website that featured a 90 day countdown clock. The clock was scheduled to hit zero on August, the day the website was to to go live.
During the longest 90 days, that I have lived through in a some time, the Sunn marketing team posted photos of new Sunn pc boards, along with photos of old Sunn amps that they had purchased to "reverse engineer".
There were also photos of famous bands, from the 70's, playing Sunn amps and cabinets. The photos were liberally posted on Face Book, Instagram and Twitter.
Their marketing scheme worked on me... I couldn't wait to buy a brand new Sunn amp!!!
Meanwhile, everyone at Facebook's, 4800+ member 'Sunn Amplifiers Owners Group', were frothing at the mouth and the general consentious was that Sunn would lead off with their most popular amp, the Model T... and I, in my naivety, was praying for a Sentura II.

Finally, waiting three months, the BIG DAY, August 1st rolled around and the Sunn website opened for business!!!!
Unfortunately, the only items up for sale were t-shirts!!!
Apparently, amps won't be ready for sale until later this year and Model T's will be sold in "limited quantities".... and I won't be getting a new Sentura II any time soon!

Where are you seeing info about limited model ts?

I was cautiously optimistic about these, but the pricing is ludicrous. $3200 for a reissue 200s? No thanks. I paid $400 for an actual one 12 years ago, and up until a few days ago they were still under $1k on reverb. I’m sure those are really going to sky rocket now. Dumb. Cool amps but not $3200 cool

Yeah I'm torn about this stuff. On one hand it's cool to see amps like the Sunn or even Marshalls like the 800 being reissued. But these prices... man this is not boutique gear. These amps were stuff young players could buy and make music with.. now they're these expensive nostalgia items.

It would be great if companies could reissue this stuff at normal prices, say same price range as a DSL or 6505 amps so more players could afford them.

I get like stuff like Suhr, Friedman etc is expensive. There's always been a boutique market.. but Sunn??? Come on... Fender should charge the same they charge for a Super Sonic or something similar.

Also worth mentioning, it’s not actually fender making these. It’s an independent group liscensinf tje “Sunn IP” from FMiC

Way too much for these. Sorry, I love the idea of Sunn coming back but these were never boutique things.

One of the Sunn employees has been commenting on the Sunn Amplifier Owners Group on FaceBook.
He also said that it was "too expensive to build a Model T and no one would carry such a heavy amp to gigs".

Pricing isn't too bad for the Beta Lead... $799... I may grab one.
But, right?!?! $3200 for a 100s!?!?!?! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!

Ceriatone is in Malaysia. where parts and labor prices can keep manufacturing cost down, but if they can sell a Model Tee for $1900, Sunn should be able to sell one for $3500.

I agree 100%... the prices are totally absurd.
Even though, at one point in history, the Who, Hendrix, Beck, etc played Sunn amps, they were always considered "low end"... one or two rungs above Gorilla or Marlboro amps!

I don't think there are enough Stoner/Doomers out their to keep the new Sunn company in business. Doomed to fail... no pun intended!

I'm sure the high prices have to do with the backer demanding a high return. Fender may own the tradmark but, we don't know if Fender is financing the project.

Right!?!?!? I bough my 1969 Solarus for $750 about six years ago (in excellent condition). Not sure how many Lawyers and Dentists are into Doom.

Oh, BTW... the 100s and 200s are being sold with a Polarity switch!!! They haven't announced what the purpose is or, if the switch is just for show.
A few people asked the Sunn Team (about the Polarity switch) and were told they will have to wait to find out!!! LOL!!!
