I need some decent monitors so I can mix for recording. But they need to be budget speakers (I can't give you an exact budget just yet). Any suggestions for 'decent' for under £200?

Billy and Raf really like their M-Audio AV 40 monitors... They go for around $150 here in the states, I don't know how that would translate for you in the UK...
I really like my Yamaha HS50M monitors, but they are twice the price of the M-Audio set I mentioned above.

When I finally got monitors I waited for a new model year to roll around then went trawling for clearance items I could never usually afford. Ended up with some Alesis monsters that take up way too much of my desk but sound pretty good. Other people complain a bit about the ones I got being too bass oriented, but I tend to mix bassy because I like the low end. These monitors help me compensate for that and I end up, most of the time, with mixes that sound alright other places.
While monitors should be pretty flat in response, it helps to try some out and get an idea of what you like to hear and what you don't like to hear. I think if I were using completely flat response monitors my mixes would usually end up way too bassy for other systems. YMMV.

I have been looking at the SH50's actually. And the SH80's.

Regarding the M-Audio AV40, to me they are more a mix between better pc speakers and monitors but it is true, they are unbeatable for their quality at that pricepoint (currently around 110 Euro). For a decent monitor I think you are on the right track with the Yamahas. I went with the AV40 cause bying amps and pedals provides more fun to me then acquiring recording gear.
