Who watched RR HOF

Post by fretless »

Pat Benatar was great. Band hit hard. And Halford still got it \m/\m/

What a screwed up organization, that RRHOF. The way they go about their business seems pretty shameful.

But whatever. I do like to watch the induction, to see which of the artists can still deliver.

I thought Priest did an excellent job and represented the metal community very well. Rob has lost some of his high range but he sings the songs effectively and with the proper attitude. They rocked the house.

Pat and band sounded good. I don't get the whole "Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo" billing. Apparently, Pat wouldn't go in unless Neil was also inducted. The HOF wouldn't do that because there was never a Benatar record released under his name. Under pressure to induct more female artists, the hall folded. Bernie Taupin is probably pissed.

Eminem? Nah, brah. Snoop should be in before Marshall.

Dolly? She herself said she doesn't belong there. But she is always fun to watch and seeing her share a mic with Halford on Jolene was a highlight of the show.

Duran Duran should have been inducted long ago. Not my favorite 80's band but it would be impossible to have a conversation about 80's pop without mentioning Duran Duran.
