Ibanez Replacement neck I recently made..

A buddy of mine has an old RG550 that I repaired and brought back to life years ago.. But the neck had warped and twisted , as those original Wizards were prone to do. I did level it as best as I could back then, but it ended up starting the twist again. So I offered to just make a new one, cause it would not only play better but also sound better. And Im confident to say it sounds so much better.. Also I was able to get some crazy low action as well.. Basically as long as there was any daylight between the string and fret, I was able to fret every note.. Obviously when its that low, its pretty ridiculous, but just the fact that there was no fretouts when the string is laying on the entire fretboard, made me sure that its leveled perfect..
A bunch of pics..
A New vs old comparison.. I used small fretboard dots on this one. For 2 reasons. I thought I had enough 1/4 dots but didnt and Two, I actually do kinda dig that look and its a bit different and the owner agreed to use em.. So there ya go

The back after I finished shaping it.. Still needed to enlarge and finish the Floyd nut screw holes in this pic.. But, basically finished.. Quartersawn maple..

Here is some shots of the fret ends.. I did a couple things to really sweeten these up. First I undercut a bit of the fret tang so it would not end up being visible from the side.. Secondly I meticulously hand rounded the fret ends. I remember seeing the Japanese Ibanez custom shop guitars have this type of rounded end and it looked super clean and high end.. So, it is what I wanted as well..

Here is a bunch of random shots.. Yeah, he has a lot of stickers on it! lol.. Actually looks pretty cool to me...

Full guitar..

And this one cause I liked that my dog was down there barking at me to throw her ball!!
