Help with modifying wireless system

Apologies if this is the wrong thread. I'm looking for some help.

I've acquired an old wireless mic system, the kind where the mic is hidden in your shirt. It's a Pro Star VR12. It worked fine, but I wanted to use it with my bass. I fully understand that there are wireless guitar systems for guitars and I already have one, but I want to use this one for reasons.

Anyway, I replaced the hardwired mic with a 1/4" guitar plug and while it works, it is incredibly quiet. Like, my 400 watt amp is at max and you can barely hear something.

What can I do, if anything, to make it work? Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry I just saw this today. Basically this won't work. These lavalier mic systems usually have a preamp to bring the mic to line level since the lavalier capsule is super small. So your wireless transmitter is expecting to see a line level and your bass guitar has an instrument level output. So the signal will be quiet no matter what you do.

The answer (as you already know) is to get a system designed for guitar/bass so it can handle your instrument properly.
