I hooked up the new Adam A8Xs and they sound fantastic! The clarity and detail are quite good... I am a happy camper!!! As much as I like the posters hanging behind my Mac, they have to go... for obvious reasons. The next step is to hang a cloud and build a balsawood skyline diffuser to replace the posters.

Totally happy camper. Everything sounds clear and detailed... and bad recording sound even worse! But, now I can hear why some recording sound bad and fixing them will be easy.
Right on!!! Between work, helping take care of my g/f's mom -and- trying to record, who has time to straighten up?

Thanks Mr. Nuts!!! I thought I was set with my last pair and they only lasted two years, but they were inexpensive. I have higher expectations for these... I need them to last at least 10 years.... fingers crossed!!!
I'm going to try to fix the old one that blew. It makes a sound when it powers up but, it won't play any audio. There aren't any schematics available for the onboard power amp so, my money is on the dust bin.
