The whole album leaked a couple days ago. It's good, but mellow and experimental.

I'm bummed from what I've heard so far and the reports of it being mellow - imo they really needed to amp up the riffs and grooves and get back to the first and third records vibes.

I think Josh blew his entire riffy groovey load with Them Crooked Vultures. His creativity might be a lil burnt out.

Curious OP, what do Rated R and Era Vulgaris have in common? I was thinking Rated R is closer to Lullabies To Paralyze. :idk:

That said I've only listened to that one you song you posted. Need to check out the other cuts first!

Ok after listening it reminds me of LTP meets Era Vulgaris. It has the mellowness of LTP with all the synth of Era Vulgaris. I'll have to keep final judgment until I hear the album chronologically. I did really like both LTP and EV though.

The videos are very very cool. I don't know how much listening time this would get for me. Them Crooked Vultures is a much better listening experience to me.
