I'm looking for a desk to start setting up a workstation at home. Something that can hold my laptop, lcd monitors, studio monitors, etc. What is everyone using?

I have an AZ Studio Spike 61... kind of wish I bought the Spike 88 for the extra room.

Woah! That's a pricey desk.

Yeah, I had to bite the bullet - I spent about $500 more than I really wanted to, but I'm very happy with this desk.
I wanted a desk with a slide out shelf for the keyboard and rack space under the speaker shelf.
I like the layout... most recording desks have 10 rack spaces on the left and right, where the storage drawers and a file cabinet would go (on a regular office desk).
I only have three pieces of single-space rack gear so, I had no need of more rack space.
This desk also has space for a small patch bay, between the two racks.
Swithcraft makes a 1/4" TRS patch bay with XLR in the back, that will fit nicely... been meaning to pick one up.

Before I moved to my new crib and bought the Spike 21 desk, I threw a piece of plywood on top of two dressers and built a riser on top.
A board across the open drawers made a computer keyboard table. It worked fine but, I had to sit on a tall stool or stand up while recording.

my setup is kind of embarrassing- cheap Ikea desk with no drawers, no nothing, just a simple desk.
I found a riser that matched it and use that for my montiors. At one point I had screens and speaker montitors on there, but I eventually snagged a few speaker stands to put behind it all.
cheap home depot wire rack to hold my rack...note the lazy suzan that allow me spin it around for connections (and avoid patchbay nightmares)
cheap sound absorption squares that mostly fell off the wall (I use my headphone 99% of the time anyway)

thrifty but puts 2 sometimes 3 computers at work and at my finger tips

Best upgrade I recently snagged was my dragon chair- expensive but amazing!

You think yours is embarrassing? At least it's a desk.

Mine's two butcher blocks bought raw at Home Despot, finished in ebony stain and poly, then mounted on self-made 1x3 pine boards made into a frame. Then I built speaker stands out of some pieces of 1x10 cut into squares, mounted on little round legs with 3m acoustic pads set between the legs and the tops to keep things isolated. Poverty or nothing for me.

And it occurs to me I never took pictures of the things before covering them in my musical and hobby refuse. :hmm:

Recently, I was also looking for a similar table to fit all my monitors, a laptop, and even a synthesizer. But as it turned out, it is almost impossible to find such a table in stores, either very expensive or of poor quality. Then I decided to look for tables on the Internet. I was lucky and found the https://eurekaergonomic.com/standing-desks/ model. It turned out to be a comfortable table. All my monitors and a synthesizer fit on it. It is also very convenient to work standing up at such a table, and the back isn't heavily loaded.

I'm currently using a Malone Design Works MCDesk, but I'm building a 2nd studio in a dedicated bldg in May, and am going back to Argosy for that build. I had a Dual15 and loved it. I'll be doing the Halo K Ultimate for the new room.
