Well, well, well. It's that time again!!! . These are the rules:
Please post pictures of your rig ready to go, wired up, passing signal. This is not a "gear collection" contest. It's all about the RIG.
Maximum of 2 guitars in the rig picture. For the same reason as above.
Pictures used on previous BOTRs will not be allowed. Please take a new picture for this contest
You can enter multiple categories if you have different rigs. But only one entry per category is allowed. For example if you have a combo and a 1/2 stack you can enter both categories. If you have 2 half-stacks, pick your best one and enter once in that category.
The post threads will be open Monday May 6th until Monday May 20th 12PM PST. After that point Billy or I will lock the post threads and create voting polls.
Voting starts on the 20th and goes until Saturday May 25th 12PM PST. 5 days should be enough for voting.
The winners of each category will then compete for "Best Overall Rig of 2018" From
May 26th to May 30th.WE HAVE PRIZESIndividual Category winners will receive a pack of ThroBak Vintage Choice Pure Nickel Round Core Electric Guitar Strings in gauges 10-46.
Grand Prize is winner’s choice of a PLX-FX pedal from our good friend Diocide as well as a Dick’s Butter Dungeon T-Shirt in the winners Size of choice.
Runner up is a Balaguer Evergreen Pickup courtesy of our friend TurboPablo.
Contest is open to all GGF members with 10 posts or more.
Creating alts for voting purposes will automatically disqualify you, not to mention you will also get some days off.

Inviting new members to join and vote is not only allowed, it is encouraged! Help spread the word about GGF!
Finally, please
keep the post threads for gear pictures only and take all the discussion to this thread. That will keep things easier.
Thanks!!!!!!!!

Got a couple entries so far. LukeBurke1 bringing it early in the head/cab combo and large Pedalboard. MambergJr showing off some GGF-approved goods in the Budget Rig category already posted more gear than his ‘father.’ Let’s keep these going.

Y'all better hope I don't get my Tweed cabinet in time. I plan on dominating two categories and then winning it all.

The $1000 budget rig category...is it based on the value of the rig or what we paid for it? If its based on what we paid for it then I predict an easy win for Texsunburst. He'll show up with a mint condition 59 Les Paul and an original Marshall Plexi he paid $79 for in a south Texas pawn shop.
To make us feel worse he'll point out that the pawn shop was originally asking $99 but he was able to talk them down.

I’ve always been of the persuasion it’s what you paid for it.

Dude I’ll be grabbing one of his fuzzes and if he made a gate I’d have that mothafucka too! Glad to support!

Ajax’s Model Tee rig is opening the Bass category. Looks awesome and the Gibby Basses help. Can’t wait to see who else jumps in here. I know we’re GGF, but some of you guys have some killer bass setups too.

He has a chassis that needs a combo cab. It’s on its way. Specifically a 5E3 type amp that he’s putting into a combo cab with a 1x12.

Loving Drew's Shell Pink Pittman in the combo category. I almost don't even wanna post a contender, lol.
Drew, here's your Strat's big sister...

Head/Cab thread is heating up. And Ligma dropped the Dime Rig in the Rack section. That looks sick and accurate.

Thanks, Itchy. Always wanted a Shell Pink guitar and it almost has to be a Strat. It kind of came together after I got his Tele; I still owe the Old Man a review of the Strat. I’ve been on the search for that Voodoo combo for YEARS. Finally found it last summer on GC Used in Texas somewhere and got a sweet deal.
That bass is quite the looker as well. Shell Pink, ftw.
Edited to add: Not sure I’ll have time to assemble my head/cab rig. This combo is what is out as my practice rig. Sounds so good, I’ve forgotten about my heads and cabs.

Alright, I was able to get pics of my main 3. I may have a modeling rig to enter. I essentially have a recreation of my old setup from high school. I used to run an RP2000 into the effects return of my Ampeg SS-140C into a 4x12. I STILL have that RP2000 and NOW a GX130C and my Marshall 4x12.
