I say we porn bomb them on principal. Normally I think that crap is stupid, but since they basically killed the place to appease google, I say we get google pissed off at them with porn

I know i wont be "cool" for stating this but can't you see you'll just be making more work for the mods, like JC and k-biz? They're not the ones who made the dumb assed decisions over there but they'll be the ones you punish. Use your grey matter a little bit.

It's not about starting shit... its the opposite. All you have to do is stop posting. You don't have to go and tell people anything. If some people feel like leaving some guitarampboard links over there, then that's fine. Just giving people an option, and where everyone is now..

the coolest people from hcaf seems to have ended up at that maplifers forum. we need to get some of them here.

i have been nelo since i started using forums in 2003. on the official metallica fanclub forum.

Maps is a good forum if a little slow. I'll mention this place over there.
I think between here, maps and ilovefuzz for the replacement hcfx doom room I'm pretty set. Its a real shame to see hcaf fuck itself to pieces like it has done but if they're hellbent on using an unfriendly front end then fuck em.

they were dead set on tying the forum to the main site, like there was any useful information on the forum that wasn't already on the main site.

everyone knows what goes on in internet forums. the only way to make it clean and main page worthy would have been to ban a majority of the users. but they were smart enough to know that would give the site a bad rep, so they did this and pretty much forced us to walk away.


kudos to them. they will realize what a huge mistake they made when their traffic drops to half or less.

but they've already done this once before and we kicked and screamed for the old forum layout again and they caved and changed it (sort of).


suffice to say though, after this last change, I will not be posting there anymore.

We should get a doom room here too (there's a "low and slow" thread in the music subforum)

I never contributed to the HCFX doom room but I lurked there all the time to check out cool tunes, pedals and maps.
