I was just poking around on Spotify & found this album. Really cool, clean & uncompressed production.. great playing, great songs! Im like why the hell hadnt I ever heard of these guys before?
I guess they werent around long.
Glen Hughes was a badass then, & STILL is.

Damn... great vintage-y tones, man. Love it when they kick up.

Wasn't Dave Holland in Judas Priest?

Yeah, man.. Im listening to this & thinking this Medusa album was pretty ahead of its time in 1970!
At times, it sounds a bit like Judas Priest, Sabbath, with a blend of funk, & 70's do-what-you-will.

Exactly like what was going on with Sabbath, Purple, leading into Priest, etc.

Started listening to their other albums as well (Spotify has them for freez). Great stuff :rawk:

I started listening to Trapeze about 15 years ago after getting obsessed with the MK III and IV versions of DP that featured Glen.

An old band that I recently discovered is Bloodrock. The vocalist sounds like the guy from the Guess Who and music is anywhere from DP to Sabbath, psychedelic, and more commercial stuff. I've spent hours listening to them on youtube over the past few weeks.

Any specific recommendations, DBN? Not too much of their stuff on Spotify. Will have to check YouTube.

Get the "Bloodrock 2" album. I think it's their best one. "Bloodrock USA" is also really good. Well, they all are, but these 2 are my favorite.

I don't think it's available anywhere for download but you can still buy the CD... I have the CD and vinyl versions :)

Gotta Find My Way and Castle of Thoughts from the first, self titled album is a good start. I just go on youtube and make sure it's set to continuous play and let it go. Before I know it I'm listening to Toad, Sir Lord Baltimore, and all kinds of crazy early 70s stuff.
