Has anyone else been jamming this stuff lately? As much of a fan as I am, his last few projects haven't been that great. This shiz is pretty awesome. They only did 2,000 copies of the EP and I wasn't able to get one, but this song has been on XM a lot and I think it rules. He plans a full LP this summer, and Mike Mushok of Staind just joined the band for their summer Euro festival touring circuit, and to help write/finish the full album. I always thought M.M. was a great writer so it'll be an interesting dynamic. Plus, Jason has always IMHO had plenty of vocal chops to sing lead, especially with how much gargling/screaming/cookie monster shiz is out there in "metal" nowadays. Sounds way better than Mylde on his best day, I think. Anyway, thoughts?

Well, Jason always said his stuff was always a little too old school for Meh-tallica, and then spent a year or two with Ozzy, so I'm sure that helped steer him when he sat down and started hammering out riffs.
Anyway, I'm really pumped for the full album. Hope he tours the US later this fall.

Sounds a lot like Motorhead to me. That's a good thing.

I saw Voivod at MDF 2011 with Daniel Mongrain on guitar. Trust me, he is such an incredible guitarist that it makes the band worthy of continuing. Mongrain's own band Martyr is also killer, but they're on hold right now.

Yarb, listen to Adrian. New guy is really good fit for them. I loved old school VoiVod up to Dimension Hatross. Dude nails Piggy parts and his vibe is pretty similar. Their new cd is actually really good as well.

He needs a real singer. You can hear that his vox are all production, theres no way he can sound like that live.
