For teaching, learning, showing off, old EVH shops, anything graphics/computer art related. Basics for noobs, advanced master protips, time savers, techniques, whatever you feel like sharing or asking about. Your latest work, links to lessons that helped you learn, some random awesome art you saw somewhere, etc. Also Corel, Vegas, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere, Final Cut etc, all relevant here.

I'm intermediate; well past noob level, but nowhere near pro. I don't do it regularly enough to feel like an advanced user, but 12 years of light use has taught me some valuable stuff. I just learned how to automate batch processing of image sequences, googling this: http://morris-photographics.com/photosh ... tions.html

My first album cover, from 2003:

This is something I put together using Adobe After Effects Kaleida effect on a photo of an aloe plant that I processed in Photoshop.
All the clips in this video were made from the same still photo, and I touched up single frames in Corel Photopaint with my Wacom Cintiq tablet.

Does anyone know how to automate the Digital Anarchy Toonit plugin without it making a diagonal grid across the picture? I'm doing some rotoscope-like processing on some live video, to make it look more like art and less like photography, and having to open it over and over again for each frame is really monotonous. Worth it if it's the only way though, because the effects it produces are really cool.

awesome

Here is my reel. its old and needs to be updated badly. Way more into 3D these days and getting back into 2D static design as well a lot lately. My job is all motion graphics and 3D though.

I found a partial workaround for this; I copied all my third party photoshop plugins to my Corel Photopaint plugin folder, and they all work in there now and can be automated, but only up to the point where you click OK on the effect window. This at least makes it possible to process around 90 frames per hour versus 15-20.

Finally finished my video. Cellphone footage shot by my wife at Club Red in Tempe, chopped up and run through after effects and photoshop plugins.
