Will definitely look into these mods... such a horribly noisey amp.

Wow - very interesting...
I don't suppose you have recommendations for similar improvements on the current-model DSL100H?

Awesome!

to the board (if I haven't already said so before). This is a hell of a good way to start!

Well, it sure violates something

Looks awesome - is it DIY or bought?

Wow - great job on that!
What did you use? I want to have my kids do some artwork on cloth for my studio (obviously the content would be a bit more tame

), and I need some kind of acoustically-transparent way of letting them go at it - this looks perfect!

I put a 10 H choke on the 410 that I owned and it killed a good bit of the noise also. Curious to see what you come up with. Welcome!

nice mods, mine was modded by Dan Gower and with a few mods you can change the amp from good to great. Mine sounds so open. there is a slight noise but the gain reduction mod can help with that.

This will fully kill all the floor noise in...all the high gain modes in the amp
this is the peavey JSX noise gate....works great for the jvm410.

Aw man, didn't get TTBull's mods for this amp, have
a JVM210h on the way and thought this post wasn't
going anywhere and didn't think to write them down.
He is the only person to address the noise these amps
make in the overdrive Orange/Red channels, the JVM
forum has ZERO on this problem.
Did remember he said the Plates and some resistors to ground
were carbon film and there is drift as well due to them.
Also he said that he preferred a certain type of metal film,
PRP and Caddock.
Anyone else happen to get the resistors written down? Promise
won't share or post anywhere else, as sure TTBull pulled the post
as not to share valuable information too broadly.

The choke mod helps the noise, but it's still unfortunately a noisy amp. I had two and did almost all of the JVM forum mods, and a JCM800 with a boost sounds much better.

What happened to all TTBull's postings?

Maybe hosting the pictures is a problem
Also his work is very unique and significant
for the JVM, probably wishes not to give his work
away.
No one else has this kind of mod for the JVM
other than the Mod shops, ie. Voodoo mentions
lowering noise in their standard mod
Hopefully someone in the forum was able to save the
page or write down the resistors, he also had a few
mods that aren't in circulation at the JVM forum.
Learned my lesson the painful way, usually the only
way that actually learns me good.
