Marshall DSL owners/users ~ got clips?

Post 'em up in here, yo!

I'm thinking I might actually be happier with a DSL than with my Plexi, so hit me with your best clips: high gain, low gain, blues, clean, dirty, crunch ~ whatever you got. :D

I've been trying to capture mine. But no matter what I do, it's not transating well at all on playback. I am using a SM57 into a EMU0404. Sounds great standing there rocking out. I just can't seem to capture it properly.

There are some real good demos on Youtube.

These two are some of my favorite clips I have recorded and they were done with a DSL100 into an Avatar Traditional 2x12 with Classic Lead 80s. I also boosted them with a Lovekraft Mojo Drive...

This one isn't a favorite, but it will give you an idea... This one was boosted with a MXR MC401 clean boost and with Vintage 30s in an Avatar Contemporary 2x12.

Pretty cool, mang! Was that the green channel boosted or the red channel boosted?

Thanks for these, brutha!

Now, anybody out there got some cleaner, mid-gain (unboosted) clips to go with these?

Way cool! I've just listened to a sample of about five or six tunes, but I dig the music muchly, and that's a lot of variety out of the DSL, it seems. Especially nice to hear Hendrixy tones on "God Be Laughin'." :D :rawk:

Thank you sir.

It's a great amp. It's a little bright on the recording, but that is what you get when you record and mix all those songs in one day. :phair:

This is all DSL.

Most of it is OD1 boosted with a TS-9 Tubescreamer or an OCD.

Thanks! Fwiw, I'd love to hear some unboosted, mid/low gain green channel (clean or crunch) tones, if possible.

Much appreciated!

I know those amps have taken a bad rap on the forums, but I think that sounds pretty great, mang! Nice playing, too. Was that the crunch channel or the high gain channel? Also, what speakers?

Thanks for posting!
