SENSORY OVERLOAD - 5 Hours of Freedom (Must listen)

Hey guys,

Just uploaded an instrumental demo called 5 Hours of Freedom I wrote last year. Recorded it with my buddy in the basement of our college house rental on a single SM57 microphone in March-April.

This song we just released is like a mix of Psychedelic Rock, Classic Rock, Progressive, Folk, Alternative, .etc .etc..

We have a band called "Sensory Overload" and have many songs written, lyrics and everything, and in september I am planning on either learning how to sing or finding a vocalist and starting to do shows.

Until then, check out our stuff!

just harsh because they probably felt affronted by someone joining a forum to pimp their album

but there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. they probably just feel you lack sincerity in the chase for teh toans. yo.
i dig the cover art

I'm not going to me mega harsh since i spam hours of instrumental stuff on here, BUT....

Pros:
I love the poppy riffs.
I like the tempo, and feel.
reminds me of the 90's. Like blake babies meets throwing muses

cons:
Get a singer. This is begging for vocals. A female would sound best, but I'm guessing the drama is never worth it.
fix your main guitar tone. it sounds too chorusey and dirty for this music. (note, the fuzz at 3:47 is bitchin. I like that)
Call it 5 seconds of freedom. It will give it a sexy drug/sex connotation.

Overall:

I haven't turned it off yet, so that's a great sign. It reminds me of a great time in music. I like it.

yea true that makes sense. midway through college, all i would think about during my shitty summer job was going home to research what guitar amp i could buy. found a used VOX AC30C2 w/ blue alnico speakers for $900 and spent the good part of 2 months finding the perfect recording tone for a single SM57 mic inside a 5ft 7 room in the basement of my college rental house that im pretty sure had asbestos. couldnt even stand there being 6ft1 haha. anyways I wanted the tone to be slightly different on this song with more neck pickup on one headphone and more acoustic on the other, but I settled for chorus as I wanted the melody to stick in peoples heads.

always chasin for teh toans. as for the cover art i slapped a font on some random pic in my downloads folder aha!

thanks dude ill admit this is the most poppy song ive ever written, its about mushrooms and i was going for a 60s pychedelic pop or whatever feel. I have lyrics finished, there in the style of hendrix and there mellow but until i take proper vocal lessons and am confident with my voice being perfect i wont try recording them, let alone with a shitty sm57. either that or finding a vocalist, whatever comes first.

Thanks dude much appreciate. glad you liked the fuzz I tried sneaking in there. check out some of the other songs they are much heavier.
