Single powered latching footswitch
Which single button footswitch with LED can be powered by a 9v adapter?
Apparently my AOR can have a footswitch without a LED, unless its powered by battery or adapter.
(I'd prefer to avoid batteries)

Re: Single powered latching footswitch
never seen one, TBH. you could make one pretty easily, though.
if your amp has reverb, you'll need a two button switch to make channels & verb footswitchable.

No reverb.
I think the Boss fs5l takes AAA Batteries?

Re: Single powered latching footswitch
here's a plan: fuck the LED. it should be pretty clear if the OD is engaged or not.
otherwise, deal with batteries or rig up an adapter.
people overcomplicate really simple shit sometimes, man.

This guy makes fantastic products! I had one of his A/B/Y pedals and it was very nicely constructed!

Re: Single powered latching footswitch
Yep, both fit the bill! Thanks!
Can't be that hard to build one..........I pretty much have all of the parts in my parts bin......just not smart enough to figure it out on my own.

Dude I have a single latching boss pedal. Works on my fish but I need a fs6 to access all the channels
Buy a fs6 and we can workout a trade plus cash on my end.

How about you buy one, and I don't buy your footswitch?
I'm making one......screw that.
Re: Single powered latching footswitch
You're just going to flip the amp anyway, so don't worry about it.

Actually, I don't think I will. It really fits what I've been looking too do. huge fuzz style high gain without pedals.
It really does sound cool and the band is pretty loud, so that won't be an issue.
Practice next week. can't wait.
I think the only time I wouldn't use it, is if I needed a pristine clean.....but I've got the JTM and Super Reverb for those situations. The TOL100 will work well if I need a lot of different rock tones (cover band)
I typically don't write heavier music when I'm jamming alone at home.
Re: Single powered latching footswitch
Lies. It won't last a month. Don't even bother with the footswitch.

I know you're dicking with me, so fuck off.

I don't really flip anymore.....well, amps and guitars anyway.
Pedals....different story.
Have had the AOR on my list for a VERY long time. had a 30 combo a while back.....so I knew the tone and feel would work for me.
Tried to buy 1 of 2 AOR 50 heads at Twin Town in MN a couple months ago, but both were in pretty rough shape, and decided against it.........got some pedals instead.....both of which I still have.
This is just a long time coming. The footswitch will bring it all together, even though the Line selector works pretty well too.

You should talk. lol
I can follow your long trail of NAD threads.
Re: Single powered latching footswitch
Me either.
You're stuck in HC mode 3 years ago.
If you called me out then, you'd probably be right.....but I've changed.
I still look at gear all of the time, but the urge to buy big items is gone. Not as many deals to be found....which was my main reason for flipping. makin' monies.

Re: Single powered latching footswitch
serious question.
following this formula
http://www.evilmadscientist.com/2012/re ... -for-leds/
I'm showing that I need a 288 ohm resistor? (or 330 as a common value)
9v - 1.8v led = 7.2v
7.2v/.025A = 288
I'm assuming a 220 ohm resistor just make the LED brighter?

and your comment is way off. right at the end of HC which was just weeks ago you bought that randall. bast evar. flipped it weeks later if i remember correctly.
before you talk about me, yes huge prositute of gear. mak4 bast map evar. buys bogner fish and vtm60 in same 2 week period.
