I texted her intially but in person told her I was sorry for throwing so much at her but not sorry for telling her that I was in love. She said dont be sorry and that everything is all good. I was so relieved bc I thought I was going to have to drive my motorcycle into a tree. She is awesome and I feel like I have a great friend that I care for. She has asked me at times "where were you when I got married?"

Anyway, really awesome to love someone as a friend and have them feel the same. I think recently being a dad and realizing my mortality, I want to let people around me know how I feel.

I love my wife and baby more than anything, and this is no normal for me at all. I have never cheated, not even on girlfriends, and don't plan to. I am sharing bc I think I need some confirmation from others who have been in the same boat. I think what I am wanting is to know others have been in this situation.

Also, left out that I was drinking vodka for a few days when I did this. I have a problem with alcohol. Not that I have to drink every day but when I drink it is hard to stop. I have recently decided to stop. I also stopped smoking cigars when my daughter was born. Sorry hcaf.

Mayne, this is not a good situation. You've already betrayed your wife's trust. My advice would be to make the choice now what you want for your future because these types of situations can spin out of control extremely quickly, and you've already taken the first step.

You can help how you respond to it. There will always be other women you're attracted to, or that you may get along with, or that you may want to date or have sex with. You have to make the decision that you won't react to it. Anybody that's been in a long term relationship has been tempted by others, but you don't go texting that you love them - which in itself seems pretty odd. Your wife and kid need you now. Don't fuck it up.

Though I'm not married and have no kids, I do have a weakness for cougars. When I started my current job (8 years ago) and was being introduced to everyone, one chick in particular gave me an insta-boner. Ended up persuing that and hooking up with the chick, twas epic. After a while we decided we should chill out, and that was that.

She eventually got fired a couple years later (for other reasons) but we stayed in touch....she and I were great friends and I never stopped loving her. Years later shit came back around and she ended up moving in with me and I thought it was just the greatest thing ever; she was the hottest chick I've ever banged, we got along great, amazing sex etc. Thought I'd be with her for the rest of my life. After a year or so shit started going south and we eventually broke up and it fucked me up pretty hard; I had been in love with this chick for like 6 years at that point.


Dunno why I decided to divulge all that, but I guess the point is, if you're happy with your life as it is the risk ain't always worth it.
