I'm thinking he used an M-80 to make the hole for the fan.

Good condition: Destroyed cosmetics, no potentiometers and untested.

I guess it is considered relic'd in the same way Keith Richards' liver is relic'd.

Wow. Would be good for parts I guess.
Always sickens me to see holes cut in the side of head boxes to accomodate fans. Especially in Marshalls that got hacked up for 80's douchebag bees in a can hairspray mods.

Is it wrong to feel sorry for an inanimate object? Looking at that amp really did make me sad.

I'd take it for $150.
But it is mangled. WTF? An auxiliary transformer on the doghouse? Non-matching power tubes? The first pre-amp tube replaced with a can-cap?
I would need to take a look inside too.
But if the transformers are all original, yeah, I'd take it.

I dunno . . . I understand people getting upset. But think of it this way. Ferrari built only a handful of Enzos. The owners, one-by-one, total them or whatever. From our point of view, we would baby it. But in the end, they own it and they can do whatever they want with it.
Think of the way we treat food: throwing something away because of a small blemish, it fell on the floor, it tastes bad, etc . . . that's blasphemy to starving people, but that doesn't stop us.
So it's all relevant.
Here's another thought. If you have an original, non-bastardized piece, and someone out there somewhere modifies the shit out of theirs, then the value of yours just went up a bit. Can you imagine the smile on Enzo owners every time they find out someone else totaled theirs?

I can see your point but modding is a little different. The Bassman in the OP has been seriously abused.

Tubes need to be tuned? Why has no one told me this before?
