Nothing really new, but it provides comparison clips, not just a "place it here" explanation.

That a really cool link.

I always single mic'd, at a 45 degree angle, between the dust cap and speaker edge, about 1" out.
Then, I'd insert a 12 band graphic EQ before going to tape.
The EQ made for a better fit into the basic tracks.
With limited outboard gear in an analog studio, I had to make things fit as they were being recorded.
Man, I love digital recording!!! 1000 times easier!
