Typical Gibson QC but a nice guitar all the same!

The pup ring material is very flimsy. Not sure how it happened. Maybe temperature exposure? i couldn't find anything else on the guitar that seemed wrong though.

If they ask me to send the entire guitar back I'll just bite it and buy new rings myself. I'd rather do that then go another week waiting on FedEx.

Sucks about the rings but great looking Goldie!
My traditional bridge ring is a tad warped but nothing like that.

Good call. Cheap rings will warp like that for no real reason. Pretty simple fix, though.

Yeah I'd just do that tbh... rings are like.. $5 each? I'd rather spent that money than have to wait for anything.

That would drive me crazy if I had to look at it every day until they sent me new ones.

In all honesty, I'll probably go after work and buy new ones
I'll still ask them to send me some based on principal.

Ask them if they can give you a $15 refund. That covers the cost of the rings and it's by far the cheapest option for them as well.

Also, I've only been able the play her for a few minutes (she arrived with 5 minutes left on my lunch) but the baked maple felt really good. Can't wait to get more finger time with her.

Woah wtf!?! Never seen ring warpage that extreme.
I'd be a bit worried about what the guitar could have went through to cause that

my guess is those rings were on the high side of the manufacturing tolerancing and its deforming due to being screwed into a baseplate with smaller hole spacing.

thats one nice guitar!
since the pickup rings are flimsy, perhaps the mounting holes are a little too tight to spec and is causing a bow? I hope thats not the case. Would like to know how new rings line up with the screw holes... good luck!!

HNGD!
Didn't those fuckers even check it before it shipped!?!?!
AMS is here in NJ. Can't blame the heat for that!

Dicks.

Make sure you check that the finish hasn't been indented by the rings already before volunteering to buy others. Also, I thought Gibson has a "touch a screw and your warranty is voided," policy.

I am gonna try and settle it through AMS not Gibson. Like I said, I can just buy new rings. I got a good enough deal on the guitar that I won't complain if I have to spend 15-20 more bucks on it.
I will check for the indention as well.

HNGD!!! That's weird that the pickup rings did that.
