Can't get any sound from imported audio tracks

So we recorded rough demo's of new stuff at rehearsal onto Logic, which were then copied to a 4G memory stick (as Aiff files), and when I import them onto Cubase 6 I can't get any sound when it plays, despite evidence that that it has recorded the instruments. It has been far too long since I have used a DAW :phair:

I'm not getting any signal on the mixer, but the audio file has uploaded. This is happening to normal MP3 tracks as well so it is obviously a device problem? =/

Check the output setting on whatever track you imported the file to :)

The output setting is to my interface. Unless I have set this up incorrectly, but I can record with it and playback.

What are the audio files' attributes? Bit depth, sample rate?

Could it be to do with the control room needing to be turned off? I've read about it but I can't find out how to do it.

Bit depth: 44100
Resolution: 24 bits.

Do you have the option to switch it to "master" instead? If so it's worth a shot

I've been using Cubase 6 since I bought my Yamaha THR10 and I honestly don't even know what the control room you're talking about is.

How do I do that  I'm so lost haha.

So I can record tracks and play them back, but I can't get a signal from imported audio files/tracks etc.

If you'd like, you can email me whatever .aiff you're trying to import and I'll see if it works on my system? peavey_impact at yahoo dot com

If Cubase 6 is like the previous versions you have to set the track to play/monitor audio.

I'd really appreciate that, but my band mates are very funny about this  . If there is any other suggestions anyone could make, please feel free!

I don't understand....is it only ONE particular file (or set of files) that won't play, or are you having trouble playing ANY imported .aiff files?

Obviously you don't have to send me your band tracks or anything.....you could fart into the mic and email that to me and it would work all the same

If it's just the tracks they gave you on the flash drive that aren't working, something get effed up along the way to your DAW I reckon
