Sound City L120 mkIV pushing an Eminence Delta 2x15 in zebra fur, like a pimp. Channels jumped and dimed, volume pedal in the loop. Blew the main 7.5 amp fuse once, had to grab a 6.25 amp out of a Boogie power amp and back the volume pedal off a smidge. Mic'd with a 414B/ULS in fig-8 into a Focusrite ISA pre then a dbx 160XT comp.

Tried a Vox Night Train 50, a Jet City 50, and finally a Randall RM4 preamp feeding the Jet City's loop as the winner. Not surprisingly, the Rockerverb module delivered the doom the best. Used the Fender Twinface on the one clean part, no love for the Marshall, Mesas or Bogner stuff. WGS ET65 mic'd with a custom Fathead into a Neve 1073 preamp clone.

The Ringo kit of doom, 1966 Ludwig New Yorker set with a '69 floor, '64 Acrolite snare, and Zildjian A Series 13" hats, 18" crash/ride, and 21" rock ride. Beta 52A into a Neve 1084 clone and dbx 160XT on kick, SM57 on top and custom tube condenser on bottom snare into Audient pres, 421s on toms into Audient pres and custom tube condensers on overheads fed into Audient pres and then a Pro VLA II to dial back the gain and catch peaks.
Piano and tube organ pictured but only used for drummer containment.
Vocal screamed into a 58 driving a 1073 clone into clipping and then smashed buy an Audient bus compressor, just like Whitney Houston did it.
Now to put it all away again...
