Anybody got a good method for cleaning rust off of a black bridge?

Coke?
I seem to remember coke being good for cleaning something or other.
Coke as in cola, not nose candy.
I also have NO idea if this is a good idea and it obviously would only work if you're removing the bridge.
Yeah, this probably isn't a good idea.
I might be buzzed.

The Kahler 2300 on my Rampage had some rust a few years ago and I was able to remove it by using WD-40 and #0000 steel wool. Soak the rust spots in the WD-40 and allow it to sit for a while and then gently wipe the spots with the steel wool; it should get the rust off pretty easily.
There are also some products that you can get from a local gunsmith or perhaps Walmart, such as Flitz, which are meant to remove rust from a weapon barrel.

Coke is good for cleaning crusty battery terminals, not much else. I'd probably use fine steel wool and windex also.
