Thought you'd like to know ....































I'm about to order my first WAY HUGE pedal! Gonna (finally) pick up a Green Rhino to boost the Plexi. I know it's no Pickle, but in my own little, mental, single-white-male way, it's one step closer to being as cool as you.

If you kind find one cheap enough, I reccomend trying a EH Germanium OD with your plexi. I had one & loved it, once I figure it out. Sounds KILLER into a plexi.

Hahahahaha, I did send the sunface up there to try out.


Congrats, Chris!! Unfortunately I had a green rhino I bought for the plexi but back then it still had the bright cap and I was trying to bring the volume down to match a 15 watt practice amp that the singer was using. I ended up selling the rhino before I clipped the bright cap so I never got to really use it proper. Well, I should have fired the singer before he even showed up... But that's a different story.

Well, the Bad Monkey sounds pretty killer with it as well, fwiw. But I've got paypal monies from amp sales going "Ooh! Ooh! Buy something that'll make people think you're hip & cool!"

Geez, Dave ~ that sounds like it was all kinds of dysfunctional!

But srs, I'm thinking this pedal will be able to do double duty, both boosting the amp when I've got it (the amp) cranked up for crunch and for providing crunch itself (the pedal) when I'm running the amp clean. Will let you know how it does.

The green rhino is made by Dunlop and is less than the metal muff.


I've tried the metal muff and didn't like it. With Drae's plexi no less. A little too gainy, didn't clean up well enough and seemed to just throw a layer over the base plexi tones instead of gelling with it. The top boost feature was far worse, and once I went back to the normal sound it did sound ok in comparison.

However then I plugged in the rhino and it shit all over the metal muff.

I got the plexi last year and tried to start a band. Dude showed up with a Kustom defender 15 combo.
