Chris Broderick leaves Megadeth
I am leaving Megadeth
Due to artistic and musical differences, it is with great reluctance that I announce my departure from Megadeth to pursue my own musical direction. I want all of you to know how much I appreciate the amount that you the fans have accepted and respected me as a member of Megadeth for the last seven years, but it is time for me to move on. I wish Dave and everyone in Megadeth all the best. I am working on a few things of my own and hope that when they come out, you will all dig it.
Until then, Chris. \m/

Shawn and Chris on the same day. Dave must have finally done something to really wind them up.

Megadeth has always been a revolving door. It's the Mave show for sure. I actually like that he changes members often. I think it adds some freshness to the material. When it starts to get stale, he changes.
That being said, I'd love to see a Rust in Peace/Countdown to Ectinction era reunion with Dave, Dave, Nick, and Marty

If he can't get Marty and Nick into the party, I think it would be awesome if Chris Poland came back.
Broderick is a fret burning monster of a shredder, but his solos always had too much of clinical approach.

Marty is one of the few shredders who could rip through shred licks and still give them a lot of soul and freshness. Megadeath has just not been awesome since.

Oh god no. He's a great guitarist in his own right, but a TERRIBLE fit for Megadeth. I HATE what he did to the solos in the back catalog.

Re: Chris Broderick leaves Megadeth
I'd love to see Nick and Marty back, personally. Honestly though maybe it's time for Dave to hang it up. I even liked a lot of the more recent albums (except Supercollider) but I think it might be time.

Re: Chris Broderick leaves Megadeth
I am so glad of this news.
Drover was mind numbingly boring and so damn generic on top of simplifying things and slowing the songs down live.
Broderick whilst an absolutely fantastic guitarist just didn't fit the band. He had no feel and ALWAYS overplayed.
In an ideal world Nick & Marty would come back but that won't happen. Same with Poland as Dave still hasn't paid him for the work he did on the system has failed.

Mave is done. He should just step back to playing rhythm only and then hire a Siamese Cat for lead vocals.

Kirk Hammett is going to be kicked out of Metallica for wah abuse, and Mave will be re-hired.

Somehow I'd be ok with this.

Rumors Lombardo is trying to land a spot in Megadeth now, or at least hinting around trying to.
