Primus to me IS modern psychedelic rock. The Animals Should Not Try to Act Like People was amazing.

Love that last track on the OP's link. Holy hell, that might as well have been a Pink Floyd song. Lalonde certainly channeled his inner David Gilmour on that one.

Lalonde has really rounded himself out over the years. Overall the whole band has become more musical and meaningful. There's still plenty of trademark silly going on but the overall sound is deeper.
