Their style of doing things really opens new ways to think about mixing (or very old ways actually).

No sample replaced drums or midi keyboards there. :lol:

Pretty surprising how he said the Nirvana drums are just two mics, kick and one overhead.

But maybe I misunderstood since there's clearly stereo panning on the cymbals on Nevermind.

I missed him saying that about Nirvana. :freak:

But he did say that eventualy he would use other mics as he sees fit, so maybe that was the case back then? :idk:

Maybe it was just how he likes to mic drums and I somehow confused the two. The Nevermind album was recorded there when it was still owned by someone else and called Sound City afaik.
