Think Beatles meets Zeppelin.... These are just the dry mono tracks. Kick and overhead...both an Oktava 219. Small Gretch Jazz kit in a small room with ALL hard surfaces. Can you hear the room sound...does it kill it? Any input- keep mind this is raw...so I'd appreciate maybe some suggestions in tuning, mic setup (only have a two channel interface) also I'm not really a drummer!!! I'm a guitarist. Also there is NO muffling at all... heard Bonham never muffled his kit...but then didn't Ringo always muffle his... decisions decisions!

don't muffle it. and honestly, for a vintage sound-- move your mic a little further out-- it sounds like it's what-- 3-4 feet? don't be afraid to put it wau out front as well if you REALLY want some old style sounds..

honestly though- i like the sound of what you have. snare sounds good-- kick's a little loose and might get lost in a mix-- but depends what's going on around it.

Thanks...also I think it has SLIGHT limiting or something on the master I forgot to disable. The sound I'm going for is like Revolver (obviously more compressed) meets like...Led Zeppelin II. The issue I'm having is that moving the mics further back gets more "horrible little room" sound. Also do you think I should throw something in the kick or just tighten it up a lot? Thanks.
