Anything from NAMM that caught your eye?

Post by Snowstorm »

I gotta be honest, I didn't see anything that I was really excited about. No new amps really. Orange looked like they had some nice new amps but I'm not interested in them. Fender didn't really seem to come out with shit besides some pawn shop mustangs. PRS came out with a new Custom 22 which I would fucking love to have but no way can I afford one. I think it would be sweet if they make a SE Custom 22. Anything interest you guys from NAMM?

The new Randall stuff looks pretty cool. Kinda interested in the little 1 and 5 watt diavlos, as well as the full sized stuff. The thrasher looks cool. Otherwise, I havent seen all that much.

At top of my list is actually the Korg MS20. It won't be out till April, and I want some more reviews on it, but it seems like a cool, affordable analog synth.

Jet City flex amp seems pretty cool despite my initial reaction that it wasn't too cool. Three different preamps has changed my mind. I don't really have a need for it, but I did GAS for a second.

The randall thrasher amp, mooer pedals (tiny but A M A Z I N G), universal audio amp room plugin, kemper was getting rave reviews from the who's who of famous guitarists that use them, whirwind pedals, the new 2013 ibanez hollow bodies were nice and one guitar company blew my mind that they were in the $600 range but I forgot the name (I have a card at home).

orange released a tube tester. bout fucking time we dont have to track old ones down from old pharmacies and shit or get laura to do it.
they also are doing the retrofit DIVO kit i believe, which could be sweet.

ehx has some cool, if completely esoteric, stuff. i kinda want an RTG for no good reason. especially if it is cheap. glad they did the hog and 2880 reboots as well.

celestion has a new creamback h30, might be good for my 112 build in the near future.

This. The programming is way OTT for me but having access to all three pres and the ability to tailor the EQ for each is pretty dang incredible.

Here's hoping it'll actually be available in March this year, not 2014.

Some dude was selling speaker cabinets made out of drums. I almost bought one because I felt so bad for him. I think he has a severe learning disability.

On the verge of buying the none-BT myself. Don't know when the new one hits. Wish I could do BT with my G3.

I like the Randall new RG series.... I mean, that's if they sound like the classic RG series.

Some of the new Gibson SGs are cool too.

Other than that, nothing really.

One of these have been my dream amp since I first played it. Have always been more of a combo guy so this is perfect for me. Seriously thinking about using my tax return on one of these bad boys. :ympray:
