So, somehow; I ended up splitting my down time between a thread about Rival Sons (actually really good rock band; obviously because they sound "classic") and a thread about Jerry Reed. I enjoyed both thoroughly, so I am passing it on
If you can get past all the Peavey fugly; enjoy

if you are impatient, here's the part I dig the most. 2:09 is particularly awesome. Some serious ripping playing happening here:

Rival Sons fwiw, with some serious Zep love. Random music Friday FTW:

I used to have the East Bound and Down album when I was a kid. Criminally underrated guitarist IMO.

Jerry Reed is the shit. Rival Sons sound pretty damn good too. Don't think I have heard of them until now!

I listened to a bunch of their stuff and I dig it. Has a great (obviously) Zeppelin vibe as well as just good riffage and singing.

Cool to see Roy Clark, he could rip!
In all honesty most of the Hee Haw gang were awesome players. Anyone know who backed up grandpa Jones on banjo?

Great stuff with Jerry Reed. That dude kicked all kinda ass, fo' sho'.
Thanks for the tip on Rival Sons. Really liked that. Love the fuzz splatter on that guitar. I might just give in to fuzz yet!

Hell yeah. Makes most metal players picking hands look like weak
